The reason as to why Kane won the the Money in the Bank briefcase and eventually cashed it in to win the World Title was because the company will be setting up an angle at an upcoming TV taping where The Undertaker will return and reveal Kane was behind his attack, leading to a match between the two at the SummerSlam pay-per-view next month. Many people in the company have expressed that they feel Kane should have been the one to replace The Undertaker at the Fatal 4 Way pay-per-view last month to win the Title, instead of Rey Mysterio, which people felt would have given Kane a lot more momentum to build towards Undertaker's return, Jack Swagger wouldn’t have looked as weak moving forward, and the WWE Money in the Bank briefcase could have gone elsewhere; specifically to another young competitor in the promotion such as Drew McIntyre or WWE Intercontinental Champion Kofi Kingston.
