Goldust Posts Update Regarding His "Retirement" Message Yesterday

Goldust has posted an update regarding his message on Tiwtter yesterday claiming he had 'retired' from WWE. This is what he had to say regarding the speculation following his message. "Don't u just love the internet......NO I'M NOT RETRIRED...........NEVER.Why heck no I'm not retired.....I'm in my prime."

Former WM24 Performer & Raw Host Says He's Open To Return

Detailed TNA Today Report: Magnus Interview & More

Tuesday, June 29 - TNA Today

Today's edition was extremely short. It only consisted of an interview with Magnus, who recently returned. It last about 5 minutes. He slips in and out of character, like these interviews tend to go. He talked a lot about his home town of Kingsland and how they have a long time rivalry with Rob Terry's home town of Whales. He managed to work that in to his character a little bit. He also gave his thoughts on the world cup - though he was not quite as colorful or knowledgeable as Brother Ray seemed to be the day before.
The interview ends with JB asking Magnus about his recent photo shoot in Maxim Magazine (he meant to say Maximum Fitness). Pretty funny little moment.
Immediately following the interview, we are shown a commercial for the new TNA Cross the Line video game for Nintendo DS. I had not seen the commercial before. It was actually a great little spot and really played up Hogan being in the new video game.

Former Pro Wrestling Valet Passes Away At Age 45

Toni Adams was the second wife of pro wrestling star Chris Adams. Toni worked as a valet/wrestler in Texas and Tennesse in the late 1980s and early 1990s.

Bryan Danielson finally comments on his wwe release.

“'WWE has come to terms on the release of NXT first season rookie Daniel Bryan (Bryan Danielson) as of today June 11, 2010. We wish Daniel Bryan the best in all future endeavors.' Posted by WWE.com. Since this statement was released I’ve been bombarded with messages asking me if it’s real, and by now I’m sure that most people know that it is. WWE is very serious about adhering to their PG guidelines, and apparently my actions during the NXT attack on John Cena, namely choking announcer Justin Roberts with his tie and spitting in Cena’s face, crossed the boundaries of what is considered “PG.” Perhaps the choking was too violent or perhaps the spit was too demeaning. I apologized for both immediately following the incident; but I would be a hypocrite if I apologized for putting everything I have into the attack. I would much rather have gone too far than to come up too short. As with anyone who gets fired from their job, especially when they feel its unjust, I am angry. Very angry. But I can’t fault WWE for how they handled my release. My contract contained a 90 day no-compete clause in the event I was let go, yet the WWE has graciously allowed me start wrestling again on any show that’s not taped for television or pay per view. So with the negatives there also come positives. Before I got signed by WWE last October, I worked hard to bring new fans to independent wrestling. But with most of us having little national exposure the only thing we could do was wrestle our hearts out and hope for word of mouth. Now that I’ve appeared on WWE television in front of millions of new fans, things are different. My goal is to garner as much interest in independent wrestling over the next 90 days as I possibly can. I hope that some of the people who enjoyed watching me wrestle on TV will give independent companies such as Evolve, Dragon Gate USA and Ring of Honor a chance. I think most of you would enjoy the intimacy between the fans and the wrestlers and the intensity of the action; if you ask the fans who went to the Chikara or AIW shows I was on this weekend, I’m sure 99% of them had a great time. So if you’ve never been to an independent show, go ahead and dip your toes in... you might find that the water is pretty nice. As far as what happens after 90 days, nobody knows. I’ve “heard” that TNA is interested. There are petitions going around to get me back into WWE and the last several weeks there have been fans chanting my names at their shows. People have even brought signs showing their support. And though most of the signs get taken away and though WWE may not be listening to your chants or petitions, I truly appreciate all the support over the last several weeks. It is both overwhelming and heartwarming. But regardless of what offers come in, I am in no rush to make any rash decisions. I enjoy my freedom as much as I enjoyed the benefits offered by being in WWE. My future, as usual, is uncertain. But I am enjoying my return to the independents. I’m hoping to see some of you there.”

Update On Punk's Injury, O'Neil Comments On NXT Elimination, More

- Titus O'Neil, who was the first rookie to be eliminated from Season 2 on WWE NXT on Tuesday, wrote the following on his Twitter account: "Just want to say to EVERYONE that Zack Ryder is one of the BEST people in the WWE & he is well worth following. I really respect him. He is a good man."

- Joe Anoa’i is the latest generational star to be given a developmental deal with the WWE and will be showing up in FCW shortly. Anoa’i, 25, is the son of hall of famer Sika of the Wild Samoans and is known for playing football for the Edmonton Eskimos in the CFL.

- CM Punk's recent arm surgery was performed over a few days following last week's SmackDown tapings. He'd been dealing with the injury for the last few weeks, but had obviously worked through the pain until now. He's expected to remain on television while unable to compete for 2 months.

- Goldust  posted a message on his Twitter account late last saying he was "retired." Here is what was written by him on Tiwtter: "i am retired, byeeeeeeeee."  It hasn't been confirmed whatsoever that Goldust is indeed retiring, so right now, this is only speculation.

Mickie James vs Mercedes Martinez WSU World Title Match!

Mickie James vs Mercedes Martinez WSU World Title Match Signed The leader in womens wrestling today, Womens Superstars Uncensored (WSU) is proud to announce the signing of a WSU World Title match between WSU World Champion & former WWE Womens & Diva Champion Mickie James, as Mickie will challenge for the WSU World Championship on 8/7 at an ICW show in Queens, NY. For fans interested, Mickie James will be meeting/greeting fans at the event, on behalf of ICW.

This is a major match for the state of womens professional wrestling. WSU World Champion, Mercedes Martinez, is currently the longest reigning & defending champion in all of womens wrestling today. She is arguably the greatest womens wrestler in the world today and holds the biggest prize in womens wrestling. The WSU World Championship is defended against top notch competition and defended regularly. With already 27 title defenses under her belt in her 18 month reign, Martinez has been a sheer unstoppable force, claiming victims such as Awesome Kong, Angelina Love, Angel Orsini, Nikki Roxx, Rain, Alicia, Portia Perez, Amber O’Neal & many others.

Mickie James is currently the hottest free agent in all of womens wrestling today. The former WWE Womens & Diva Champion will look to win the biggest prize in womens wrestling today when she steps in the ring with Mercedes Martinez on 8/7. The WSU World Title has been defended in amazing and many women match of the year candidates. This is not bikini bullshit. This is not “diva” wrestling. On 8/7, Martinez & Mickie James will show the world what the WSU World title means when they square off.

Mickie James has a rich history in womens wrestling, as this is where Mickie laid her roots when she was formerly known as Alexis Laree. Alexis Laree was the top female wrestler for a period of time on the independent scene. Laree took that success and transformed into Mickie James, where she became one of the top wrestlers in the world today.

However, the one thing WWE lacks that WSU does not, is credible women wrestlers. WSU is all about impressive female wrestlers & characters. Models are not turned wrestlers here. Women wrestlers from all over the world, young, in their prime and looking to reclaim their former glory all come to WSU to make a name. WSU is not about silly hee-haw and dressing up women in stupid gimmicks you could’ve seen in the 1980s. WSU is about the pure sport of womens wrestling and about hard hitting matches.

On 8/7 at ICW, you will see the very best in the world today, Mercedes Martinez, put up the WSU World Championship against perhaps the biggest and most well known name in womens wrestling, when Martinez clashes with Mickie James.

Mickie’s body of work as a female wrestler is impressive and impeccable. She has beaten them all on TV, but she hasn’t beaten the hardest working womens wrestler today, the WSU Champion.

Will Mickie become the new face of WSU and lead WSU into a new direction? Can Mickie show the womens wrestling world that she is the best today? Or will the WSU World Champion, Mercedes Martinez, shut down another challenger?

To make this match even more intriguing, this match will be wrestled under UNCENSORED rules, meaning there will be no DQ’s and no Countouts. THERE MUST BE A WINNER.

AUGUST 7th, 2010 in Queens, NY for ICW, JAMES vs MARTINEZ. You will not want to miss this battle for womens wrestling supremacy.

Tickets are going fast, so make sure to reserve your tickets today by going to ICWZone.com .

New Angle Involving SES, Orton Update, MITB Plans Change, More

- The feeling is that WWE is losing interest in the whole RAW guest host concept. With a whole year of hosts gone by, it’s possible the angle will end soon or be cut down to one host a month.

- The final two spots for the SmackDown Money in the Bank Ladder match at the upcoming pay-per-view were scheduled to go to CM Punk and Drew McIntyre. However, those plans have drastically changed due to Punk being injured and McIntyre not able to work because of his work visa expiring. No word yet on who will get the last two spots.

- WWE Hall of Famer Stone Cold Steve Austin wrote the following on Twitter about NXT Rookie Husky Harris: “my favorite new WWE talent is Husky Harris..needs a little more ring cardio..comes from great wrestling background. needs a mean streak.”

- Randy Orton saw limited action on this past Monday’s RAW in the eight-man main event because of the neck injury he suffered over the weekend. The seriousness of Orton’s injury isn’t known yet but with the recent shoulder injury, they are trying to be careful as the Money in the Bank ladder match approaches.

- WWE creative is looking at having one of the two Money in the Bank winners cash their title shot in before the SummerSlam pay-per-view. This might be done so the rest of the year can be planned with only one Superstar having a briefcase.

- WWE is beginning a new angle starting this Friday on SmackDown where Straight-Edge Society member Serena betrays the groups "pledge." There is a surveillance video shown on the big screen of Serena in a bar drinking over the Memorial Day weekend, where the rest of the SES came in and talked her down for betraying them. No word if this is a plan to get Seerena away from the group to compete, but we'll keep you updated on the latest information.

Fans Actually Send in Emails to Cena's "CandyPants" Address

Arda Ocal of "Right After Wrestling" recently opened an email account under the name CandyPants964, which is a play on the joke email account John Cena said he opened on Raw after McMahon announced the anonymous GM of the show.

Latest on Jericho’s DVD, Randy Orton’s Injury, Danielson’s Release

- Chris Jericho noted on Twitter that his first wrestling match, against Lance Storm, will be an extra on his upcoming WWE DVD, The Highlight Reel.

- The reason Bryan Danielson isn’t talking about his WWE release is because the company has a new clause in their contracts where talents can’t speak on the terms of their departure for the first 90 days after being let go.

"The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero Talks Training, Vince McMahon, More

"The Pope" D'Angleo Dinero answered some fan questions on his official website . He answers a fans question where it asks about the struggles of his training experiences. "Wow, not many know this, but the hardest part during Pope’s initial training was doing a front forward flip, while landing flat on your back," he said. He continues, "It seemed like it should’ve been the easiest thing in the world to do for someone who grew up flipping, but the thought of doing it in the ring with the possibility of spiking your head, it’s just nerve wrecking. So that and running across the ring without turning it into a marathon were probably the hardest things during training." Pope is asked about WWE Chairman Vince McMahon and if he thinks Vince is a good business man. "Vince is a genius and a smart businessman. Vince is not a reflection of the WWE," he said. "The WWE is a reflection of Vince. Vince is a very strong minded individual who never takes no for an answer. No such thing is impossible to this man, which in all honesty should be the mindset of every individual whose goal in life is to achieve GREATER!"

First NXT Elimination, MITB Update, Big Show DVD In The Works, More

- The first Rookie from NXT Season 2 was eliminated during the live NXT show on Tuesday. The first Pros poll of the Season was revealed, and earlier in the night it was announced the #8 ranked person would go home. The following was the result of the first poll: #1 Kaval, #2 Percy Watson, #3 Michael McGillicutty, #4 Alex Riley, #5 Lucky Cannon, #6 Eli Cottonwood, #7 Husky Harris, #8 and eliminated from the competition, Titus O’Neil.

- There is currently no word on WWE's plans for the SmackDown Money in the Bank ladder match now that Drew McIntyre (who was expected to be in it) is now inactive from WWE until further notice. They only announced 6 names for the match during Tuesday's SmackDown tapings, but there is a chance they will announce 2 more names next week.

- WWE is currently working on a new DVD set on Big Show, which is expected for an early 2011 release. The current working title for the DVD is said to be “Life of a Giant”.The early word is that the DVD will feature some of The Big Show’s early work in WCW also.

WWE Upset Over Visa Issues For 2 Stars, Sheamus Next To Go?, More

WWE officials are said to be not too pleased when it comes to the issues with Drew McIntyre and Wade Barrett's work visa that are keeping both men from legally competing in the United States. However, one member of WWE management claims that the issues aren't that serious, saying they both only needed to fill out necessary paperwork.

However, it is confirmed that it is more serious than some officials are claiming it not to be, as WWE creative has been informed not to expect Barrett or McIntyre back until after the SummerSlam pay-per-view in August. This is bad news with Barrett being the leader of The Nexus stable and with the new report that McIntyre was scheduled to win the SmackDown briefcase at WWE’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view.

Barrett is currently back in the United Kingdom until he is able to get his visa renewed. The storyline reason for his absence on RAW was that he was at WWE Headquarters pleading The Nexus' case to WWE management. As for McIntyre, he is back in his native country Scotland to work on getting his new visa sorted out. It's believed that WWE decided to put a little truth into his storyline departure from television during SmackDown last week. It’s still possible however that they could be back sooner than what's expected.

There has been some speculation that WWE Champion Sheamus may get caught up in the same work visa situation but the feeling from one member of WWE management is that either WWE caught it on Sheamus’ end while missing it on Barrett & McIntyre’s end, or Sheamus was proactive in bringing the situation to WWE’s attention and they handled it without thinking about Drew or Wade.

News On Chris Jericho, Ashley Valance, Martha Hart Lawsuit, More

-NXT announcer Ashley Valance is listed in the semi-finals of Maxim's Hometown Hottie contest representing Nashville.

- WWE attorney Jerry McDevitt took umbrage with the statement Martha Hart released to the Hartford Courant yesterday regarding her lawsuit against WWE and Vince and Linda McMahon. He said Martha's statement was not accurate as WWE didn't sue her because she brought a wrongful death suit against the company, but did petition for her suit to be heard in Connecticut instead of Missouri where Owen Hart's tragic accident took place. He says Martha's current suit is nothing more than "a personal attack" on Linda McMahon because she is running for Senate.

- CraveOnline has an interview up with Chris Jericho to promote Downfall. He said regarding his wrestling career that he doesn't train as much as he would like to anymore, and noted the days of giant physiques aren't as important as they once were. "The thing about wrestling is too, when you first start out you’ve got to be as big as you can. You’ve got to catch people’s eyes. Once you’ve been around for a while and you start getting older with them and they become familiar with your personality, your character, big, small, it doesn’t matter. It’s all about the character that you have and like I said, appealing to the audience. That’s more important than how much muscle you have."

- Jon Robinson talks to Miz and Eve Torries about the new WWE video game .

He is currently vice-president of  Pro Wrestling NOAH , a position he took on last year shortly after the devastating death of Misawa Mitsuharu.

- Bonnie Steamboat, ex-wife of the Dragon, has resurfaced with an audition tape for Oprah's TV show search . Her show concept aims to promote the ideas of young entrepreneurs, and provide them with small investment capital to make their dreams reality. Bonnie is also gearing up to pen her memoirs which she says will be a postive and uplifting book about the wrestling business.

- Jake Roberts  wants it known that he's pulled out of Justin Credible's Pro Wrestling Icons convention on 8/15 in  Cromwell, CT . He blames people working for Credible who haven't returned his calls, so he's not going to make the trip.

- mtvU is working on a wrestling-themed episode of Dean's List--which gives different college students a chance to host their own 30-minute show.

- TMZ  has a video of  Roddy Piper  "beating someone up" last week at a comedy club .

Update on the Visa Troubles with Barrett & McIntyre, Sheamus News

- Word is that WWE creative has been told not to expect Wade Barrett or Drew McIntyre back until after SummerSlam in August. It’s still possible they could be back sooner.

This is bad news with Barrett being the leader of The Nexus stable and with the new report that McIntyre was scheduled to win the SmackDown briefcase at WWE’s Money in the Bank pay-per-view.

A fan saw McIntyre in Scotland this weekend so apparently he’s back home also.

There has been some speculation that WWE Champion Sheamus may get caught up in the same work visa situation but the feeling from one WWE source is that either WWE caught it on Sheamus’ end while missing it on Barrett & McIntyre’s end, or Sheamus was proactive in bringing the situation to WWE’s attention and they handled it without thinking about Drew or Wade.

WWE RAW Rating for 6/28

Last night's edition of Monday Night RAW drew a 3.28 cable rating with 4.54 million viewers

Chris Jericho Speaks On WWE Retirement, Hart Dynasty, More

The following is an excerpt from a recent Crave Online interview with WWE Superstar Chris Jericho:

Crave Online: What’s going on with your WWE story?

Chris Jericho: Just starting a new storyline that’s probably going to go two or three months, which I like. Most of my stories are longer and involve a lot of intricate details and twists and turns. You never really know what you’re going to get with Jericho. That’s one reason I love reading internet reports of people who think they know everything about things and they really don’t. They just have to sit back and watch the show and enjoy it like everybody else and see how it unfolds.

Crave Online: Will you rematch with the Hart Dynasty or is that done?

Chris Jericho: It’s probably done. I’d love to work with those guys because we all train in Calgary in the same place. I trained with their uncles and their grandfather so there’s always a little bit of a storyline there so I’m sure we’ll do something again in the future.

Crave Online: Are there any new wrestling frontiers on your horizon?

Chris Jericho: No, I’ve pretty much done everything in wrestling that I ever wanted to do. I still enjoy it. I still enjoy being a part of it. That’s why doing something like Downfall is so exciting for me because I’m getting a chance to branch out and extend the Chris Jericho brand and try some new things and hopefully become very successful with them. Like I said, it’s all part of the same thing: Show business, entertainment, being in front a crowd and entertaining them. That’s what I do. Am I a wrestler? No. Am I a rock star? No. Am I a game show host? No. I’m an entertainer. That’s what I do.

Crave Online: Do you see an end date to wrestling?

Chris Jericho: Absolutely. You can’t wrestle forever. It’s a very physically taxing job. There’s no doubt about it. Physically, and more importantly mentally. Would I still like to be involved in the business in one way, shape or form? Sure, but there are other worlds out there and I’ve been very fortunate to be able to explore them over the last 10 years between Fozzy my band, writing my books, having the radio show on XM radio and then doing Downfall. There’s a lot of different things that I want to do and I’m getting the chance to do that. So it’s a good time to have all these things peaking at the same time.

New WWE Contract Clause, The Miz Update, MTV Reviews RAW, More

- WWE returns to the Westchester County Center in White Plains, New York on September 5th, 2010 at 5 PM. Tickets go on sale July 12th, 2010 at 10 AM. Go to http://prowrestlingevents.tk or http://prowrestlingevents.webs.com for info about upcoming wrestling shows worldwide. - One of the main reasons The Miz won the United States Title on RAW a few weeks ago was because he was heading to the E3 agame conference to promote WWE's upcoming video game releases from THQ. The feeling was that from a media standpoint it helps to have a championship belt with a wrestler at one of these press-heavy events. - WWE has added a new clause to their performers contracts where the released performer cannot discuss anything publicly behind their release from the company. This new clause was put into effect before the firings of Mickie James, Shelton Benjamin and Bryan Danielson amongst others. - Tiffany posted the following on her Twitter account late last night, possibly referring to the status of her real-life husband, Drew McIntyre, who is currently off of WWE programming until further notice due to visa issues. "Missing some one like crazy :(" - The MTV website posted a story on Rob Zombie's appearance as the guest host of Monday's WWE RAW show, where Kyle Anderson of the hit website writes the following: "Zombie, who was decked out in a Lou reed T-shirt (probably the first and only time that will be happening on WWE programming), did a fine job psyching up the crowd, and his natural charisma came across even as he was just reading names. Considering a big part of his persona comes from a sort of demented ringmaster concept, he was a natural in the ring." To read the full review of the show, visit MTV.com .

WWE Lawyer Responds To Lawsuit Filed By Owen Hart’s Widow

WWE lawyer Jerry McDevitt tells Courant.com that the lawsuit filed by the late Owen Hart’s widow, Martha, against WWE, Vince and Linda McMahon is without merit.

Martha Hart is suing the WWE for continuing to profit off the likeness of her late husband, especially as it pertains to the new Hart Family DVD set.  Martha Harat issued a statement this week saying the WWE filed a lawsuit against her because she “had the nerve” to pursue a wrongful death claim following her husband’s death.

McDevitt now says Martha’s statement is false. this afternoon. According to him, WWE didn’t sue her because she brought the wrongful death claim. However, it did petition a court in Connecticut to hear the claim, instead of the Missouri court where Hart had filed her lawsuit, which was settled before going to trial.

McDevitt calls Hart’s statement “pejorative nonsense” and said her current lawsuit is nothing more than “a personal attack” on the McMahon family. He denies the insinuation that WWE is trying to deny Hart and her children compensation from the Hart Family DVD and says WWE handled the aftermath of Owen Hart’s death in a “humanitarian” way.

Who will stop the NXT Rookies Nexus?

According to a source, Bryan Alvarez of The Wrestling Observer claims Triple H will be returning to stop the rookies. This will likely crush them, but at least makes sense in that Sheamus is supposed to be facing John Cena, keeping Cena occupied and away from that storyline.

*SPOILERS* TNA iMPACT Taping Results For This Thursday

iMPACT opened with an Abyss promo which I missed but it ended with Hulk Hogan coming out followed but Bischoff to restrain Hogan but ended up attacking Abyss. Abyss no sold it which then Hulk gave Abyss three chair shots which he no sold also. They led to Jeff Hardy coming out to give Abyss the twist of fate and Swanton to end the segment

Motor City Machineguns vs. Ink, inc. Motor City Machineguns won via pinfall on Jesse Neal. Bubba was going to interfere but Devon cut off Bubba and they argue for awhile. then Devon comes in the ring and helps Neal to his feet.

Bischoff came out and announced the main event as Jeff Hardy vs. Abyss with RVD as guest ref in the match

AJ Styles vs Samoa Joe, Joe wins via submission. Styles fights with Kaz and Ric Flair afterwards and Styles wants Kaz next week. Kaz accepts which ends the segment.

The next segment is the Pope’s return to the impact zone. Huge “Welcome back” chants for the Pope and huge Pope. Pope cuts one of his classic promos which he is great at doing. Pope says he is back in the game now and he wants to work his way to RVD. Just as he finishes, Kurt Angle’s music hits and he welcomes Pope back into TNA. Angle says at Victory Road, we have Pope vs. Angle and Angle says he must be victorious he walks off and we head to commercial.

During the break they bring up Cody Angle to the ramp and the fans chant Cody. Angle’s other kid is also here sitting next to Dixie Carter at ringside.

Desmond Wolfe vs. Brian Kendrick. Chelsea still looks unhappy to be with Wolfe and leaves him mid-match again. Kendrick puts Wolfe in a submission hold and Wolfe taps out Douglas Williams was on commentary during the match.

Jay Lethal calls out AJ Styles and Ric Flair to answer for jumping his brother last week. Matt Morgan comes out and says that Flair has asked him to be the first member of Fortune. Lethal hits Morgan and the match is on. The early part of the match is the typical Matt Morgan dominance. A couple of near falls for Morgan until Morgan misses his kick and Lethal begins his comeback. Morgan throws Lethal out and Hernandez sneaks in and low blows Morgan with the ref’s back turned. Lethal picks up the pinfall victory. Hernandez walks up the ramp as a pissed off Morgan looks at him. Lethal celebrates the win.

Taylor Wilde vs. Madison Rayne in TNA Knockouts non title action During the match Tommy Dreamer, Raven, Rhino and Stevie Richards show up, again taking everyone’s attention for the match at hand. Rayne picks up the easy victory on Wilde only to get attacked by Love post match. The crowd doesn’t care they are to busy snapping pics of the ECW guys in the front row of the stands. During the break Stevie got in the ring and threw out some TNA DVD’s.

We cut to backstage where some new Knockout in black [Note from Mike: I was told it was Sarita] is beating up Taylor Wilde for some reason and the ECW originals decide to head back to the backstage area.

We go back to the big screen where Dixie Carter walks up to Sting in the rafters and says Hulk and Bischoff says he is a cancer to TNA and sting is suspended for 30 days. Of course Sting verbally assaults Dixie until Bischoff comes up there and has security take him out of the Impact Zone. Bischoff tells Dixie to hire a 24-7 bodyguard because Sting might go psycho now and he fears this isn’t over with Sting.

Time for the main event. RVD comes out first with a ref shirt on. Abyss has a 2 x 4 with nails in it. Hardy takes control early before Abyss takes it outside and throws Hardy into the ring steps to take control. Abyss tries to use a chair but RVD takes the chair from Abyss. The crowd is into this match and is behind Hardy all the way, Hardy with the Swanton to get the pinfall and win. Abyss attacks Hardy and Black Hole slams RVD. Abyss was going to use the 2 x 4 with the nails but Ken Anderson comes running down with a chair and hits Abyss then turns to hardy and nails him with the chair by accident because Abyss ducked. Abyss hits the Torture Device slam on Anderson. That is probably where the shows cuts out.

Post match, Anderson helps Hardy up and Hardy poses for the crowd and leaves.

JR Blog: WWE Video Game Work, Thoughts on JBL Wrestling, More

Jim Ross is back with a new blog over on jrsbarbq.com. Here are some highlights:

- Texter…When I said Daniel Bryan had become relevant in the 13 or so weeks that he had been on WWE TV I meant that in a positive light and stand by the statement as many outside the WWE world had no familiarity with the talented grappler before he appeared on NXT no matter his exposure on Ring of Honor which does not have a large TV audience.

- Emailer…No…I do not expect JBL to EVER wrestle again. Last time John and I talked he was playing golf in St. Andrews Scotland which is a helluva lot better gig than traveling up and down the road with ‘the boys.’ Sorry…but that’s a fact.

- I started the THQ voice overs today for the WWE All Stars video game which will be released in early 2011. I’m really enjoying the process and will hit it hard two more days this week to get us rolling and will be staying busy with this project throughout July. The King and I will be the announcers on the game with the Fink handling the ring announcing.

Ranjin translates and says Khali said he’s a big stupid giant and his manager is tired of protecting him. Ranjin says if the Nexus came up right now Khali would run off. Ranjin storms off. It appears Ranjin just turned on Khali? Khali says something we can’t understand but Ranjin is already gone.

- Back from commercial and Justin Roberts introduces tonight’s guest host, Rob Zombie. Zombie comes out to one of the songs on his new album. Zombie announces the eight participants and they are… Randy Orton, The Miz, R-Truth, Chris Jericho, Evan Bourne, Ted DiBiase, John Morrison and Edge. Zombie talks about Edge and he appears on the big screen. Edge says he hasn’t talked to Zombie since he called him personally and says he was dumping his song as his entrance theme. Zombie says he’s sorry he took his song back from Edge because he couldn’t let him destroy it any longer. Zombie says that’s all he has to say to Edge, goodnight and goodbye. Zombie goes to leave the ring. Edge taunts him from the big screen. Edge says Zombie doesn’t matter anyway. Edge reminds everyone he won the first Money in the Bank ladder match and then cashed it in on John Cena for the WWE Title. Edge shows us a replay of that from 2005.

Edge talks about doing the same to Undertaker. Edge says he owns the Money in the Bank ladder match and will show everyone in this match how twisted he can be. Edge talks about crushing Randy Orton. WWE House Show Results from Youngstown, Ohio 6/26/10

The Covelli Centre is extremely small and it was about 90-95% full.

Evan Bourne pinned Zack Ryder with the shooting star press.

Goldust pinned William Regal with a missed power slam.

Vladimir Kozlov pinned Yoshi Tatsu with his chokeslam. Kozlov is still working as a heel.

John Morrison pinned Ted DiBiase w/Maryse with starship pain. DiBiase did his usual promo before the match that he has more money than everybody else. Best match of the night.

Triple Threat for the U.S. title – Miz beat R-Truth and Mark Henry. The Miz did a very entertaining promo before the match how he is the only champion to come out of Ohio. The Miz got lots of cheers. R-Truth got injured hitting his lie detector on Mark Henry and the Miz just pinned him afterwards. Trainers came out after the match to help R-Truth to the back.

Divas Championship – Alicia Fox pinned Eve Torres w/ special guest referee Santino Marella, with the axe kick.

Steel Cage Match – John Cena & Randy Orton vs Sheamus & Edge ended in a No Contest. The NXT Rookies, minus Wade Barrett, interrupted the match. The Rookies beat up on Orton and Cena while Sheamus and Edge escaped the cage. Yoshi Tatsu entered the cage to get beat down. Evan Bourne entered the cage to the same fate. Mark Henry came down and brought the whole locker room with him to enter the cage. They beat the rookies up and chased them off, but Michael Tarver did not escape and Orton threw him back into the cage so Cena could give him the Attitude Adjustment. That is how the show ended. The Miz was very involved in beating up the rookies and even teamed up with Morrison on Darren Young.

Overall the show was too short missing at least two matches. The overall card was a bit disappointing with Jericho and the Hart Dynasty missing and the fact that the first three matches were basically ECW matches.

AJ Styles Talks About Working With Ric Flair, Fortune & More

TNA star AJ Styles was recently interviewed by the Miami Herald and spoke at length about being mentored by Ric Flair.

“As Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff were coming in was around the time they were thinking of putting me with Ric Flair,” Styles said. “I was on board. To work with the Nature Boy Ric Flair, it would be stupid not to take that chance.

Styles has improved his game in many ways since working with Flair, most notably his work on the mic. “My confidence in cutting promos is far better than it used to be,” he said. . “Getting the opportunity to study from Ric Flair and get his input means the world to me. I’ve met him before, and he was always a nice guy. He was unbelievably nice. He is an icon. I thought how he can be so nice and humble. It’s who he is. He is a good guy, in spite of the rumors you may have heard.”

While working with Flair has been a dream come true for him, it has led many to criticize him, calling him a “Ric Flair wannabe.” Styles responds to those claims, saying, “I would say when you are being mentored by someone or around friends who talk a certain way or act a certain way, you tend to act like those friends and talk like those friends. It’s kind of the same thing. I’m not Ric Flair. Ric Flair and I, our move set is not the same. I may throw in a figure four or a chop. Other than that, I would not say I’m being like Ric Flair. If they are complaining about that, I would say how can you complain about someone trying to be like Ric Flair? As long as they’re entertained, then I’m going to keep doing it. If they are not, I’ll find out sooner or later.’”

As for the new “Fortune” stable led by Ric Flair, Styles says, “I think they are going with it. I think it would be a great tag team and a great storyline.”

Mickie James Talks About Her WWE Release & Future In Wrestling

Former WWE Diva Mickie James was interviewed by Alez Marvez of Scrippsnews.com last week and spoke at length about her wrestling and country music careers. James has spent the last year and a half working on her debut country music CD, “Strangers and Angels.” Here are some highlights of what Mickie James said about:

Her Country Music Career: “Wrestling has kind of taken a back seat right now,. This is a new passion of mine. I’m a very competitive person and very much a perfectionist. When I want something that badly, I’m willing to make sacrifices and do whatever it takes to make it happen.”

Getting Released By WWE: “It broke my heart. I admit it. I had given so much of my life to this and sacrificed so much. I missed weddings, birthdays, my nieces being born. I starved on the road when I first tried to make it. I slept at rest stops because I didn’t have the money for a hotel. I wanted it that bad.

“When you get that call that you’re hired, it’s the greatest call in the world. It’s even better when you get the call that you’re coming to and debuting. But when you get the call saying you’re gone … What bothers me is, I could see if I didn’t get a good reaction, but I would get the largest reaction of any female on the roster no matter who I was on the bill with. I still don’t understand why, but that’s life.”

Her Future in Wrestling: “For a while, I was going to say I didn’t want to wrestle at all because I’m still heartbroken (about WWE),” James said. “But I do love it so much. I intend to wrestle here and there and do the shows I really want to do, especially if it’s with someone who’s a friend of mine or someone I never got a chance to work with.”

EXCLUSIVE: Latest Bret Hart/WWE Speculation; Major Buzz

As many of you know, Bret is getting married for the third time in the very near future, and it appeared getting back into the wrestling business put an enormous strain on his relationship.

WrestleZone has learned that the conspiracy theory making the rounds in the WWE locker room is that Bret didn't tell WWE Chairman Vince McMahon that he wouldn't be showing up for the pay per view until the very end of last week, and at that point WWE had already setup the "what would Bret do with the NXT group" cliffhanger for the PPV. I was told the NXT/Bret Hart was to be a show-long story line at Fatal Four Way,

One other wrestler said he and another wrestler actually had plans to meet with Bret at both Madison Square Garden and at the pay per view, and didn't know something was wrong until he heard Vince McMahon's comments at the opening of the pay per view, and at that point he knew something was wrong and this was not planned for the show.

To make matters even more confusing, Bret Hart was gently fired by Vince McMahon on Raw, which leaves the door open for him to come back. Whether that will happen or not is anyone's guess. The theory is that Vince went easy on Bret on the air just to move the story line forward into the last-second replacement angle, which is the mystery general manager.

It is speculated that Vince McMahon also didn't want to do the screaming "You're Fired!" gimmick because it would just keep focus on him and Bret, and by just breezing through the firing and moving on to the next part of the story, which is the mystery general manager, people would forget about Bret quickly. That theory turned out to be partially correct, as Raw scored its highest rating in several months on Monday, delivering a 3.5 Neilsen Household Average Rating.
