Kurt Angle said during a media interview for the Boomer & Carton radio show on WFAN in New York that he was actually thinking of leaving TNA last year. He revealed that the situation between his ex-wife, and mother of his two kids Karen Angle and TNA founder Jeff Jarrett's relationship becoming public got to him.
He said that he opted to ask out of the deal after it became much publicized the couple were living together and romantically involved. Angle said that it was TNA President Dixie Carter was the one who ultimately convinced him to remain with the company. "Everything’s cool now. It was (crazy). At one point, I wanted to be released. I’m glad Dixie Carter refused to release me because I’m very happy there. Everything worked out for the best.
