Carlito Breaks His Silence For The First Time Since His WWE Release
Former WWE star Carlito broke his silence for the first time since being release by the company when he appeared on the Right After Wrestling audio show on Monday night with hosts Arda Ocal and Jimmy Korderas. Carlito noted that he's been taking time off and will start up again within the next couple months and "is trying to find a passion for this business again." Carlito said he thinks WWE officials "are a little mad at me." He noted that he's been asking for his release for a long time. He noted that his contract was going to expire in August. "I've been trying to leave for three years, and the last year I wasn't even myself. I was dying to be away... I wouldn't say I got myself fired on purpose, but that last year I really didn't care. I really wanted to be away." Colon admitted that he's a little disenchanted right now. "I'm a little disgruntled with the business," Carlito said. "Contrary to what a lot of people said, I actually have a lot of passion for this business. I get to the point where I get very frustrated when I see certain things. I'm a very vocal person. I don't keep my mouth shut. I don't kiss anybody's ass. I like to give input. If I don't agree with something, I'm not going to just keep my mouth shut." Carlito said he is open to the idea of working for TNA. "I'm open to whatever," Carlito said. "I'm listening to offers. Whatever the best offer is. My main problem with WWE is that I didn't want to spend my prime years doing nothing. The past couple of years, it was ridiculous what they were doing with me." Carlito went on to say that he thinks his bad reputation came when he turned babyface. "I'm a way better heel than a babyface," Carlito said.
